Teacher actions are picked by the number stored in the student's Strokes field. As we learnt in a previous lesson, Strokes are constraint to the action number - hence the game engine will select only the action that matches the current strokes value. Mode specific actions carry the same action number. Flag these with Priority and constrain the Edges field limits to your game_style_id.

- I have been reading this for some time now, and as far as I can tell, without the knowledge that exists only in your head, this does not make sense. I feel like I'm missing something that will make it all clear. perhaps the graphic is showing the wrong thing and so not helping?
