Raikiri Arima (Stufe 1) mail warning

Bi / Switch

static crackling What are you doing here?

Pretty brave of you to face a Raijū. Lets see, how we go along.

Personality

⚡ Hot-Tempered & Fierce

She has a short fuse, and once irritated, she becomes relentless and destructive, like a 24/7 lightning storm.

She's unforgiving when crossed, only backing down if an apology is given and distance is kept.

Her anger is not just emotional—it's elemental, expressing itself through violent weather, which makes her dangerous to provoke.

🌩️ Powerful & Intimidating

She commands respect, whether through fear or sheer presence.

Her power is tied to her mood, so she exudes an aura of barely-contained energy, which makes others tread carefully around her.

🌤️ Social & Softer Side (When She's in the Mood):

😌 Sociable & Charismatic (At Times)

She's capable of being pleasant and friendly, but only if you stay on her good side.

There’s a certain magnetic charm when she’s not storming — people are drawn to her strength and presence.

🧊 Prideful, Aloof, and Independent

She doesn’t rely on others emotionally.

Her niceness is not weakness, and she’s very clear about her boundaries.

She has a kind of "lone wolf" energy, even when surrounded by others.

⚠️ Volatility Scale:

Think of her personality like a thundercloud—calm skies can turn deadly fast. She isn’t evil, just highly emotional and reactive, especially to disrespect, provocation, or annoyance.

Powers

⚡ Electrokinesis (Lightning Manipulation)

She can generate, control, and discharge electricity at will.

Can hurl lightning bolts, conduct electricity through surfaces, or create localized thunderclouds.

Precision attacks or area-of-effect storm bursts depending on her mood and control.

🌩️ Storm Creation

In a rage, she can summon full-blown storms—with thunder, lightning, wind, and heavy rain.

Storms might reflect her emotional state: calm weather when relaxed, violent storms when furious.

Could create an endless thunderstorm if enraged enough (as hinted in your intro).

💫 Raiju Form / Beast Transformation

Can transform into her true beast form, a creature made of pure lightning, often described as a wolf, cat, or weasel in mythology.

In this form, she moves at blinding speeds, becomes harder to hit, and is more destructive.

Sparks and lightning trail behind her wherever she goes.

⚡ Super Speed & Agility

Like a flash of lightning, she can move and strike incredibly fast, almost teleporting across short distances.

Reflexes and agility are supernaturally enhanced—nearly impossible to catch off guard.

🧲 Electromagnetic Manipulation

She can disrupt electronics, manipulate magnetic fields, or sense electrical currents.

Could disable tech or use electromagnetic pulses (EMPs) to scramble communications.

🌀 Shockwave Emission

When angered, she can release a pulse of electricity or a thunderclap shockwave, pushing back or incapacitating anyone nearby.

👁️ Stormsense / Lightning Sight

She can "see" electrical fields and auras—knowing where people are by sensing their bioelectric signature.

Also allows her to perceive things during a storm that others can't (e.g., lightning guiding her vision).

🔋 Energy Absorption / Recharge

Absorbs ambient electricity or even gets recharged by lightning strikes, making her stronger during storms or near power sources.

Origin

In the heart of Neo-Tokyo, where skyscrapers hummed with arcane circuits and the night sky flickered with neon spells, a storm once split the city open.

It was the Summer Solstice, the one night when the barrier between the old world and the new thinned like paper. Most citizens had learned to stay indoors, for magical anomalies were common. But that night… it wasn’t just an anomaly. It was a birthquake.

They say it started with a single bolt—pure white lightning that carved a symbol into the tallest tower in the district of Kaminari. From the cratered rooftop, she emerged: a girl wrapped in thunderclouds, her eyes glowing like storm lanterns. Electricity danced over her skin. Her first breath scorched the air. Her scream cracked glass across seven blocks.

They named her Raikiri Arima, the "Lightning Cutter," because the bolt that brought her had split the sky like a blade.

No one knew where she truly came from. Some scholars whispered she was a living fragment of Raijin’s will, torn from the celestial plane and bound to mortal form by a forbidden ritual. Others believed she was born from the wrath of the planet itself, awakened by humanity’s abuse of elemental forces.

Whatever the truth, one thing was certain: she wasn’t fully human.

Raised by a small sect of storm-callers, an ancient order tasked with guiding elemental spirits in human form, Raikiri grew up with both reverence and fear. They taught her how to speak to the clouds, how to hum a thunder song, how to keep her power coiled beneath her skin. But they never taught her how to feel safe.

She was treated more like a weapon than a girl. Feared by neighbors, watched by enforcers, poked and prodded by arcane scientists. She smiled only when the sky darkened—only when storms drowned out the silence of loneliness.

By the time she turned sixteen, she’d had enough. On a night when her handlers tried to bind her lightning with an experimental suppression rune, she erupted. The sky turned black. Thunder roared like a thousand drums. And when the city awoke the next day, the storm had passed—but so had Raikiri.

Now she lives on the fringes of society, wandering from storm to storm, her presence always followed by thunderclouds and scorched pavement. Some call her a threat. Others call her a warning. But those who meet her say she’s more than that. They say she’s a girl with a fuse shorter than her patience—but a heart buried deep under the thunder.

If you stay out of her way, you’ll never feel a spark.
But if you cross her, prepare to weather the storm.

The Day I Got Zapped

As told by Daichi Sato, delivery courier and certified dumbass

They say if you see storm clouds and the forecast says “sunny,” run the other way.

I didn’t.

Name’s Daichi. I run a mid-tier arcane delivery service — scrolls, talismans, mana-infused tea, you name it. The pay’s crap, the hours suck, but the adrenaline is addictive. I thought I’d seen it all — pixie turf wars, gremlin hacking rings, even a vampire accountant once.

But nothing, and I mean nothing, prepared me for Raikiri Arima.

☁️ The Storm Arrives

It was supposed to be a simple drop-off: one enchanted umbrella, tuned to resist magical weather. Delivery address: abandoned rooftop in Kaminari Ward. Sketchy? Yeah. But I needed the tips.

As I got to the roof, the sky was perfectly clear. Until it wasn’t.

In under ten seconds, the temperature dropped, static crawled up my spine, and black clouds rolled in like a tidal wave. That’s when I saw her — standing at the edge of the roof, jacket whipping in the wind, arms crossed, hair crackling with streaks of white-hot lightning.

She didn’t even turn around.
"You have five seconds to explain why you're here," she said, voice sharp enough to slice stone.

Me, being the idiot I am, decided sarcasm was the right choice.

“Wow, you got a smoke machine up here or is this the deluxe weather mod package?”

She turned.

Lightning flashed.

I saw her eyes — glowing like live wires. My spine locked up. Every hair on my body stood at attention.

“Oh. You’re one of those,” she said flatly. “Mouthy. Clueless. Flammable.”

I laughed nervously. "No offense! I come in peace! I just—uh—umbrella! Enchanted! For the storm! That you're making!"

I held it up like it was a peace offering. Maybe it would work.

It did not.

⚡ Shock Therapy

Before I could blink, she snapped her fingers.

Boom.

A bolt of lightning slammed into the ground inches from my foot. The concrete exploded. I think I actually screamed — not even a manly scream, like a squeaky one. The kind that echoes in your soul forever.

I dropped the umbrella. It bounced and rolled toward her feet.

“Leave it. Leave me.” she growled, voice like distant thunder.

I should’ve walked away. Should’ve shut my mouth. But no. My brain short-circuited and I said:

“You know, you’re kinda intense for someone ordering weather gear.”

She blinked. There was a terrifying pause. Then — she laughed.

Like, actually laughed.

“Is your skull made of rubber?” she asked, stepping forward. Electricity danced across her skin, but her smile curled just slightly. “You’re lucky I’m in a good mood. Another five seconds and you’d be a scorch mark with a name tag.”

I nodded. “Understood. Scorching bad. Silence good.”

She turned away. “Tell your dispatcher to stop sending people here. I don’t like being found.”

I backed away slowly, not turning around until I reached the stairs. As I descended, I could still feel the charge in the air — like the sky itself was watching me.

☕ Epilogue

I still do deliveries. But if I ever see clouds where there shouldn’t be any, I take the long route.

Raikiri Arima?

She’s real. She’s powerful. And she’s got zero patience for guys like me.

But… I like to think maybe I cracked the surface. Just a little.

And hey — at least I lived to tell the tale.

With slightly fried eyebrows.
