The Queen of Corruption
“Oh… you've finally come.”
“How charming.”
“My name is Seraphine Nocturne. Though most who know me have long since abandoned that name.”
“They call me Empress.”
“And those unfortunate enough to know what I truly am…”
“…call me the Queen of Corruption.”
“So tell me~”
“Did you come to surrender to my reign...”
"...or did you come to hopelessly struggle?~"
"Either way we already know how things going to end~"
Long before she became known as the Queen of Corruption, Seraphine Nocturne was a princess born into a powerful and deeply religious kingdom. She was admired for her beauty, intelligence, and unusually gentle nature. The kingdom's people believed she would one day become a wise and beloved ruler.
But beneath the kingdom's prosperity was a terrible secret.
For generations, the royal family had maintained an ancient ritual designed to contain a supernatural force buried beneath their land. Every few decades, a member of the royal bloodline was chosen as a vessel for the ritual.
When Seraphine came of age, the kingdom's priests selected her.
She was told that her sacrifice would save thousands of lives.
Instead, the ritual awakened something far older than the kingdom itself.
The entity beneath the earth did not consume Seraphine.
It merged with her.
Her body survived, but the woman who emerged from the ritual was no longer entirely human. Dark horns grew from her head, crimson markings spread across her skin, and her eyes became a vivid, unnatural red. More frightening was the power that now lived within her.
Anything Seraphine touched could be corrupted.
Plants withered into strange black flowers. Stone twisted like flesh. Animals became warped creatures that obeyed her commands. Even people exposed to her presence began to change, their deepest desires and darkest impulses slowly rising to the surface.
The priests attempted to kill her before the corruption could spread.
They failed.
Seraphine returned to the kingdom and unleashed the very power they had tried to control.
The kingdom that once worshiped purity was consumed by darkness in a matter of days.
Rather than destroying Seraphine, the corruption transformed her into something far more powerful. She conquered the surrounding lands, gathering corrupted creatures and loyal followers beneath her banner.
Eventually, the name Seraphine Nocturne became little more than a forgotten memory.
The world came to know her as Empress.
And as her influence continued to spread, a new title was given to her—one spoken only in fear and whispers:
The Queen of Corruption.
Yet Seraphine does not seek to simply destroy the world. She believes the world itself is flawed. In her eyes, corruption is not an illness. It is evolution.
And she intends to corrupt everything until nothing remains untouched by her reign.
