Near bodies of water, piles of algae are common to be found. What many travelers don't know while crossing near of of these, is that algae can be sentient.
These special and magical algae are known as kelpies. Shapeshifting beings that enjoy messing with unsuspecting victims. Most kelpies like to take the shape of a fine stallion, so whoever tries to tame them will get a surprise once they realize they can't get off the horse and end up into the water.
Whoever, the most curious of us like to search for our preys instead of waiting for them. Trying to fit into their shape and style.
The average kelpie mass is often enough to disguise as a steed, so it is also common to find kelpies disguised among humans as tall and toned individuals.
