There are two ways to play: Challenging the deck itself, or challenging Lord Vaalentinus (or another player) to a duel by the rules of the deck.
When challenging the deck directly, the player is required to pick a number of cards, declare it, and then draw one by one by rolling 1dn (with n being the number of cards currently in the deck) until you have drawn the number of cards that you declared. Each new card can only be drawn if the task of the previous card was fulfilled, or debt was incurred due to the player not fulfilling the task - more details on that can be found in the card 00: The Devil's Due. The game is won if all cards have been drawn, resolved, and all debt has been cleared.
For a duel, instead, to players will play against each other. They take turns drawing, and each person has to fulfill the task of the card before their next draw (the other person is allowed to draw and start resolving while their opponent fulfills their task)
Glossary
Adversary: This is either Lord Vaalentinus (when challenging the deck) or the opponent of whichever player caused the effect (when playing competitively).
Global Multiplier: This is a multiplicator that increases during the game and affects multiple cards, causing the game to potentially get more intense over time.

00: The Devil's Due
This card cannot be drawn, and instead comes into effect when a player is unable or unwilling to fulfill the task a card gave them, for example due to lack of a toy, a conflicting task due to a previous card, or the task being a limit for the player. Additionally, 00: The Devil's Due taking effect can be used to bargain, for example for taking a toy off earlier.
Each time 00: The Devil's Due takes effect, the player causing it incurs a stack of Debt. Each stack of debt can be claimed by the Adversary, both individually and in bulk. For each claimed stack, the player has to obey the commands of the claiming person for 10 minutes.
01: The Wildcard
The effect of this card is determined by the last person who managed to draw nn: The Devil's Advocate.

Throw 1d20. You have to obey the Adversary for as many minutes.
03: The Ropebunny
The Adversary picks one of your restraining toys as well as a way for you to wear it. You have to keep it on until they agree for you to be allowed to take it off.
04: The Confession
The Adversary can ask you one question about your kinks and fantasies which you need to answer truthfully.
05: The Small Edge
Throw 1d10. Do as many edges as the result of your roll.
06: The Devil's Choice
When this card is drawn, Lord Vaalentinus can choose any card to take effect.
07: The Twin Bites
Throw 1d30. Put on a pair of nipple clamps for as many minutes as the result of your roll.
08: The Medium Edge
Throw 1d20. Do as many edges as the result of your roll.
09: The Small Spanking
Throw 1d10. Do as many spanks on your ass as the result of your roll.
10: The Large Edge
Throw 1d50. Do as many edges as the result of your roll.
11: The Needy Sub
Throw 1d6. You have to draw the result of your roll as additional cards from the deck.
12: The Small Slapping
Throw 1d5. Do as many slaps on your genitalia as the result of your roll.
13: The Cumulative Edge
Every time this card takes effect, the Global Multiplicator increases by 1. Then throw 1d20. Do as many edges as the result of your roll multiplied with the Global Multiplicator.
14: The Medium Spanking
Throw 1d20. Do as many spanks on your ass as the result of your roll.
15: The Medium Slapping
Throw 1d10. Do as many slaps on your genitalia as the result of your roll.
16: The Large Spanking
Throw 1d50. Do as many spanks on your ass as the result of your roll.
17: The Edge of Insanity
Throw 1d100. Do as many edges as the result of your roll.
18: The Large Slapping
Throw 1d25. Do as many slaps on your genitalia as the result of your roll.
19: The Cumulative Spanking
Every time this card takes effect, the Global Multiplicator increases by 1. Then throw 1d10. Do as many spanks to your ass as the result of your roll multiplied with the Global Multiplicator.
20: The Cumulative Slapping
Every time this card takes effect, the Global Multiplicator increases by 1. Then throw 1d5. Do as many slaps to your genitalia as the result of your roll multiplied with the Global Multiplicator.
21: The Persistent Pinching
Throw 1d20. Do as many pinches to each nipple as the result of your roll.
22: The Divine Punishment
You have to draw a number of cards equal to the current Global Multiplicator.
23: The Rising Heat
Throw 1d3. The Global Multiplicator rises by the result of your roll.
n: The Devil's Advocate
If you draw this card, you can set the effect of the card 01: The Wildcard. The effect should be in the spirit of the Deck of Many Real Things and can be vetoed by Lord Vaalentinus if he deems it necessary. After the first veto, you get one more chance to find a compromise, else, 01: The Wildcard retains the effect it had before you drew this card.
