Background

David Draven was a mild-mannered researcher at EF City Labs, researching dark matter when a mysterious explosion destroyed his lab. Many assumed Draven was killed in the explosion. The Draven that was known and loved by his family and friends is gone. The Draven that emerged from the rubble of his lab is not the same person.

Draven is now possessed by a force that feeds on light — an insatiable hunger that won’t be satisfied until all of the light in EF City is extinguished. As he goes about his mission to remake EF City into a new shadow realm, Draven is attempting to corrupt as many EF City Heroes as possible.

Powers and Weaknesses

Draven powers include shadow manipulation and the ability to teleport from shadow to shadow. Draven has also been imbued with superhuman strength and durability and an ability to corrupt others if they haven overcome by his shadows.

Some have suggested that if Draven is being possessed by an otherworldly force, that maybe the David Draven that was once known and loved is still trapped within the subconscious of the Draven terrorizing EF City.
