When Niko Petrov returned to find his home pillaged, the fire that burnt brighter than any other that night was the one ignited in his heart. It twas with that same hatred that he forged the Northern Mercenaries Guild, and enabled men like Issac to flood the ranks of it. Issac had known Niko their entire lives. An officer fresh out of the academy and already dissatisfied with the work he had been given, he heard Niko's call to arms and answered it happily. Serving as Niko's right hand enabled Issac to become a beast, an unruly monster. This fractured the pairs friendship in ways that still burn today...
But Issac was still sane then. A monster with little morality and certainly not the sense of honor that Isafael now has, but certainly more sane than him. What happened to the apathetic officer to cause him to put on Jester's cap will.... remain a mystery, I can't give you all the answers~
