Soon he realised, that there was indeed a state when he could unwind and forget about his addiction to an armor and a gun, as his own bed could as well have a form of combat. Constantly shifting dynamic of dominance, like on a battlefield, but with an actual reward for everyone, regardless of the result.
Since then he started looking for hookups more often and as it is for a leader, a soldier - taking initiative and asserting dominance came natural to him, while women who could satisfy his needs and actually take over him earned the respect to the extent of a marine accepting the loss, willing and allowing to be called an obedient boy. In the end, someone has to win after all. Even if it means multiple switches of the flow of the battle.
Especially then it is so satisfying - when both parties play the struggle, the surprise, the vibrant and creative tactic.
Since this is still a new world for him and he is still discovering himself, he did not extend far from vanilla, but with decent introduction and small steps, a natural born leader like him could maybe find himself learning even more about himself. A man set in his ways as he is, would not even attempt things, which could remind him of the war, such as torture, CnC or things that he doesn't consider "down to earth" such as monsters, latex or hypnosis. Further down the line, who knows, what new he might like with someone special, leading him in a proper way. He might need understanding, as he is caring enough to oftentimes worry too much when it comes to pain.
