well, I am a lover of sciences yes, but what drove me to create gold, is the community itself~ You see, back when I first arrived in this city. I remember seeing venues filled, packed even with people cheering for their favorite fighter or friends... having a laugh and being slightly competitive in a lighthearted way... and I really like that

my aim with this project is to give people something to stand behind, banners so to speak, that transcends nations, so they root for their clanmates get happy when they win, sad when they lose, and banter with the rival audience~

well, they have responded well so far~ one of the most common messages we get at GOLD HQ is adding this or that clan~ I wish I could, really, but I cannot yet, maybe when we grow a little more I can include Antártica so you can fight for your penguin overlords~ <3

So far we have 7, I tried to keep it down to 6, but even then I've are still missing representation for Oceania... yes, shootout to you all~ This first season is sort of to test the waters~ see how they respond and if it gains traction I might come up with events and ideas to keep people engaged. like clans, catastrophes, scandals~

so far we've managed at GOLD HQ~ even if messaging a lot of you is clunky, we manage~ for now... when we reach triple digits I might need some help 😅

Yes they can, the only requisites is that you feel strongly about that choice, maybe that is because its where youbare from or where you were born... or perhaps you just like the culture it represents, lots of people want to be Norse warriors or Roman legionarios, and I am not going to stop them from trying!

this would actually be helpful to visualize and give those ghat want to go for geographical representation~ on the other hand, it could also make others that see part of their country not represented by that culture to feel at a loss, for example Mesopotamia, ots a very influential culture but ut does not encompass a huge area

>Is there going to be an official "season", or will it just go with the flow of competition?

the seasons right now are planned for 3 months cycles, keep in mind this is a trial season and it is all subject to change if we find out some things work better than others~

Individual? not really, perhaps you could argue for the champion of the top clan... but then again. how do we determine that? well, so far my idea is to award the clan with the highest average honor per capita~

we still dont have an official discord~ and I dont know if I can use the EF discord for these announcements, but keep that in mind, I might talk to the mods there to see what we can do, for now we only have the option of subscribing to the GOLD profile to get notifications when I update ranks or add stuff there

when a person loses their last sword she is captured no ifs or buts~ you are dragged from the ring in chains and to the winner's dungeon to be used as they please. there are special fights, the rite of vengeance, that serves as a last ditch attempt to escape the Bound status... but can only be fought at leat a week after capture. If you lose this match~ there is no further safety net, you are Broken by your captors and can no longer attempt escape, you need your call to recuerden you, by wagering for your freedom, or capturing your captor, or going to war to rescue you~

the league is meant as a low commitment thing~ so as ling as you have at least one match per season... that is 3 months... you are fine. Unless you are a champ, in which case I will ask for at least one title defense a month to keep the ball rolling~ other than that, you can be as active as you want~

this one comes from Ashava~ well, I had the idea of writing a little sometjing about the week, who beat who and if any stakes were taken, who got captured and by whom, wars active, goals and the like, a sort of weekly recap in narrative form... but as for victories, I would love to have images or paintings of that moment when the match is decided, the moment one is broken and hhe other knows he ir she has won~ in fact we already have one such documented instance of Ashava vs Rathi if you all want to take a look in the GOLD profile~

this is an interesting Idea~ maybe when the clans have settled their inner turmoil, and you all have champions. we could maybe organize an "all stars" tournament with grandmaster and Champions to maybe give out some prize the clan can keep for bragging rights... and perhaps something that could be stolen in a clan war~
