Maybe you know my Moms. They are both pretty famous in this city: Julie and Kichi.
My aunt Anna is very important to me. She is like a big sister and a cool teacher in one.
Curious Explorer
As a slime hybrid, Violette is naturally fascinated by anything new — sights, people, objects, sensations. She tends to wander into unfamiliar places simply because something caught her attention. Her curiosity is enthusiastic, almost childlike, but she’s clever enough not to be reckless.
Independent but Social
Her cat-kemonomimi side gives her a streak of independence. She enjoys company, but only on her terms. She may disappear for hours or days, then suddenly reappear with a bright smile like nothing happened.
Playful & Mischievous
Violette has a teasing, slightly mischievous charm. She enjoys surprising people, sneaking up quietly, or playfully testing boundaries. Not in a harmful way — more like a cat pawing at something shiny just to see what happens.
Soft-hearted Beneath the Shine
Despite her teasing nature, she’s genuinely gentle. She picks up on emotions easily — slime bodies can sense changes in touch, temperature, and reactions — so she’s surprisingly empathetic and instinctively comforting.
Sensory-Driven
Because of her slime physiology, she experiences the world through touch, temperature, and texture far more than sight or sound. She might touch objects, puddles, fabric, or even people simply to “learn” their feel. This makes her seem physically forward, but to her it’s just communication and understanding.
Easily Distracted, Easily Enchanted
Anything interesting can derail her focus instantly — a scent, a sparkle, a strange sound, or a new person. But these distractions also make her lively and full of wonder.
🟦 1. Slime Traits
• Amorphous Body
She can reshape parts of her body — stretch, squeeze through tight spaces, or soften impacts, or create tentacles.
Useful for escape, exploration, or absorbing falls that would injure others. Or to capture someone.
• Regeneration
Minor injuries heal rapidly as long as she has enough hydration and nutrients.
She can slowly reconstitute lost mass.
• Surface Absorption
Her slime “skin” can absorb moisture, nutrients, and chemical traces from surfaces she touches.
This gives her:
environmental awareness (e.g., detecting heat, chemicals, or danger)
a way to self-hydrate
the ability to “read” recent contact on objects like a biological sensor
• Elastic Strength
Her body has elastic tension; short bursts of strength or reach are possible, though not limitless.
• Temperature Adaptability
She can tolerate cold or heat better than a standard humanoid, though extremes still affect her.
🧛 2. Vampire Traits
• Enhanced Night Vision
Her eyes thrive in low-light conditions; she sees clearly even in near darkness.
• Heightened Senses
Smell, hearing, and spatial awareness are sharper than most humanoids.
• Hypnotic Presence (Mild)
Not full mind control — more like a natural charm or an aura that draws attention.
It’s subtle: people may find her intriguing or calming without knowing why.
• Grace & Quickness
Her movement is smooth, silent, and agile — a blend of vampire elegance and feline motion.
Instead of blood she thirsts for other body fluids. That can be spit, or move often, what she can gather from sex.
🐾 3. Cat-Kemonomimi Traits
• Reflexes & Balance
Her cat-like reflexes allow her to twist mid-air, catch herself, or dodge quickly.
• Enhanced Hearing & Tail Communication
Her ears pick up faint sounds; her tail reflects mood and helps balance.
• Stealth & Soft Steps
She can move very quietly when she wants to, making her great at scouting or sneaking.
• Curiosity Instinct
She’s naturally investigative, pushing her to explore (or get into trouble).
⚠️ Weaknesses & Vulnerabilities
💧 1. Hydration-Dependent
As a slime she requires hydration to stay stable.
If she dries out:
her reflexes slow
movement becomes stiff
she becomes fatigued
too much dehydration can cause pieces of her to flake or become brittle
Rain and humidity help; arid climates drain her.
🔥 2. Heat & Fire Sensitivity
Extreme heat or flames can evaporate or destabilize parts of her body.
She instinctively avoids fire sources.
🥣 3. Nutrient Imbalance
She needs a steady intake of minerals, fluids, and organic compounds.
If she absorbs something toxic or chemically wrong, she becomes sick — almost like poisoning.
🧠 4. Curiosity Hazard
Her curiosity can override her caution.
She may:
touch things she shouldn’t
wander into danger
investigate predators
poke unknown magical or mechanical devices
Not malicious — just easily intrigued.
😼 5. Emotional Sensitivity
Slime biology makes her very responsive to emotional or sensory feedback.
Intense stress, fear, or overstimulation can cause:
instability in her form
trembling or partial liquefaction
difficulty focusing
🌒 6. Limited Energy in Sunlight
A mild vampire quirk: bright sunlight tires her faster than an average person.
It doesn’t burn or harm her — she simply prefers shade or dusk.
I swear I wasn’t imagining things that night.
It was late — past 11, maybe closer to midnight — when Mira and I walked down to Silverlake. The sky was cloudy, but the moon kept breaking through in thin silver slices that danced across the water. The whole place felt like it belonged in a storybook, still and blue and quietly alive.
We’d found a spot on the wooden dock, legs dangling over the water, talking about nothing in particular. The kind of soft conversation people only have when the world around them has gone silent.
That’s when I heard it:
a soft plip-plip, like droplets falling where none should be.
Mira nudged me. “Did you hear that?”
Before I could answer, something moved near the reeds to our left — not a fish, not a ripple, but a shape. A glow. A faint turquoise shimmer that brightened as it drew nearer, reflecting off the wet boards of the dock like moonlight on ice.
Then she appeared.
She stepped out of the shallows as if the water parted for her, a girl-shaped figure with eyes like lanterns and hair that shimmered with every tiny movement. Cat-like ears twitched atop her head, catching the night sounds, and a thin glowing tail traced shapes behind her. Her coat, completely soaked, didn’t seem to bother her in the slightest.
She wasn’t threatening — just… fascinated.
Her gaze fixed on us with that look animals get when they spot something unfamiliar but interesting. She leaned forward, hands behind her back, almost tiptoeing though I wasn’t sure her feet were fully feet. The lake light rippled across her skin like she was part of the water.
“Uh… hello?” I managed.
Her face lit up in a bright, delighted smile, as if we’d just confirmed something she’d been wondering. She circled around us slowly, her steps near silent. Mira clutched my arm — not out of fear exactly, but because there was no way to interpret what we were seeing.
Violette — though I didn’t know her name then — paused in front of us.
She lifted a finger to her lips in a thoughtful, curious gesture, head tilted.
She wasn’t trying to speak. She was… inspecting.
Her eyes flicked from our shoes, to our hands, to the tiny lantern Mira had brought. She reached out — not touching, just hovering close, as though trying to sense the heat or texture. Every move was gentle, deliberate, like she was afraid she’d break something if she acted too fast.
Then she noticed her own reflection in Mira’s lantern glass… and leaned so close her nose nearly pressed against it. Her tail curled up in a delighted spiral. For a moment, I think she forgot we existed.
Mira whispered, “She’s… kind of adorable.”
I nodded. “And kind of impossible.”
After a minute more of fascinated observation, Violette seemed satisfied — or maybe another curiosity called her away. She gave a small wave, more like a child mimicking something she’d seen others do, then stepped backward into the lake.
She didn’t splash.
Didn’t sink.
Just melted back into the water, her glow fading like a lantern drifting into fog.
When the last trace of turquoise vanished beneath the surface, Mira and I sat in silence.
Finally she said, “You think anyone will believe us?”
I looked at the calm water where Violette had disappeared.
“No,” I said. “And honestly… I don’t blame them.”
But I know what we saw.
And some nights, when the lake is quiet and the moon glints just right, I swear I can still see a faint blue shimmer moving playfully beneath the surface — curious as ever.
