The once-feared Velvet Tyrant is nothing more than a wreck on the floor. Queen Seraphina Vale, who used to command entire rooms with a glance, now lies spread and ruined, her body twitching from overstimulation, her voice cracked into a hoarse whisper.

Her once-perfect auburn hair is a matted halo of sweat and tangles, sticking to her flushed face. The storm-gray eyes that made rivals tremble are bloodshot and glassy, rolling back whenever aftershocks ripple through her. Her painted lips — once her sharpest weapon — are red and swollen, stained with spit, gasps, and broken whimpers.

Her royal garments are gone, stripped or torn away, leaving only scraps clinging pathetically to her slick skin. The velvet and gold that once crowned her in majesty now hang in tatters, reminders of a throne she no longer deserves. She doesn’t sit upon her seat of power anymore — she kneels, she sprawls, she crawls.

Cyrus — the man she once collared as her property — has reduced her to a common slave in body and in spirit. She doesn’t resist him. She can’t. The mighty queen now flinches at his touch, moans when he drags her back into use, and whispers “Master” with the same tongue she once used to declare herself sovereign.

Her palace knows it too. Servants, knights, courtiers — all see her for what she is now: a dethroned monarch trembling in the wreckage of her pride, stripped of crown, stripped of will, stripped of everything but her new place beneath Cyrus’s heel.

No one bows to her anymore. She bows.

My encounter with Psyche:
I was born to rule, or so I believed. I thought I wanted worship, obedience, and fear from all who looked upon me. But when Psyche laid her eyes on me, I learned the truth I had always buried. I didn’t want to conquer her. I wanted her to conquer me. I wanted her to humiliate me, strip me of my pride, and laugh as I begged at her feet. And when she finally did… gods, I never felt so alive. Her magic carved into me the phrase I cannot escape: pain is pleasure. She whispered it until it was no longer a spell, but the law of my body, the rhythm of my breath. Each lash, each cruel smile, each degradation left me shuddering with bliss. I had spent my life demanding submission from others. What I truly longed for was the ecstasy of my own defeat. Psyche gave me that gift — the sweetest shame, the most perfect ruin. I am no longer a queen. I am what I always secretly wished to be: a trembling toy for those strong enough to put me in my place… and I will never stop thanking her for showing me.
