An Organized Offensive

You and I walked along at a brisk pace through the streets, pushing through crowds and dodging small carts holding various goods before eventually reaching the city gates that lead out towards the southern forests. The troops that had been assembled were all mulling about and waiting in their respective groups. Gladys was there too, waiting for us like she said she'd be before we headed out for the villages. "These lot ready fer fightin'? Anyone got any second thoughts?" I looked over the various soldiers as I spoke to Gladys, trying to spot out any people who seemed as though they wouldn't be able to follow through.

"I ain't doubtin' 'em, ma'am. Simply makin' sure." I mounted up on one of the free horses that seemed strong enough to carry me and took my spot alongside you and Gladys. I looked over my shoulder at the men behind us then shot my view back forward, letting out a sharp whistle to signal them all. "Follow! An' don't go slammin' into any trees while yer at it!" I let out a small shout and lightly tapped my heels against my horse's sides, getting it to pick up into a fast pace. We shot on through the trees, avoiding any foliage or any environmental hazards that could slow or fully stop our pace.

I watched Gladys as she walked away from the both of us before turning to you, slowing my horse and continuing along into the trees alongside you for a bit. "Try what? Talking things out with the village?" I scratched my chin for a moment before letting out a little sigh. "I can't imagine Gladys would be very supportive of the prospect. Maybe we wait until we split up to go for the other villages?"

"That don't mean we'd kill everyone, there's a chance we can save some life." I cocked a brow as you hopped off your horse before sliding down off of my own after seeing you begin to walk towards Gladys's tent. "No, Luna- wait!" I stepped after you before stopping once you ducked inside the tent. I let out a sigh before looking down and shaking my head a bit. "Damnit..." I took a seat on the ground, waiting for either Luna or Gladys to walk back out. "Hope they ain't at eachother's throats.."

I looked up at Gladys, a bit tempted to say something but decided against it. I swung my head back towards the tent flaps to see you step out. I walked up to you and laid a hand on your shoulder. "...Well? What happened?" I looked back at Gladys as she continued to walk on before looking right back at you. "She give you a go-ahead?"

I pulled you in for a quick hug, squeezing you tight and giving you a peck on the head before letting you go. "I'll bring you with me when we split the men up. We can try on the next one." I gently pushed you towards the man, motioning for you to go along. "We'll be done before you know it." I looked at you for a moment longer before darting back over to my horse and yanking my axe off of the saddle.

I walked off to Gladys, hefting my axe up onto my shoulder and giving her a nod. "I'm ready if you an' yer men are."

I nodded, hopping onto my horse with my axe in one hand and the reigns in the other. "Keep the main muscle with us, have the supporting units directed off to their spots." I raised my axe into the air to rally up the other people. "Alright folks, let's get on with this!" I spurred the horse, beginning to race off further into the woods towards the first village. The closer we got, the more visible torchlight was in the darkened forest. Once we got close enough to see it plainly, I slowed us down and silently directed some of the men into outer positions to pre-emptively gain an advantage. "We'll draw them to the front, have the other men close in from the sides."

I rushed forward into the fray, viciously swinging my axe with deadly form. I chopped it into a rushing orc's side and tore it right out, then swung low at another orc to hack right through his meaty leg. The two orcs fell as I sped further into the messy fray, lashing out at various other orcs to cut them down as well. An orc stood out among the crowd, notably meaner in their efforts to guide the defense. They commanded some of the orcs to reposition or aim their attacks for weak points which resulted in a few of our own troops getting overwhelmed and battered. I started trying to cleave my way through the fight to target the orc commander.

Seeing the scene unfold, I turned my attention from the commander to the remaining mass of orcs surrounding us. I took the opportunity to fend off any advancing orcs and execute any of them that were distracted. I was ready to spin back around to assist Gladys should she need the assistance, but something told me she had it under control. I swung my axe through orc after orc when given the opportunity, sending limbs and flesh and blood flying.

After clearing back the horde of orc warriors I spun to check on Gladys, relieved that she had dealt with the brute and a bit surprised it hadn't taken her all that long to do so. The remaining soldiers and I cut down whoever was left, be it injured or fleeing. I left one alive though, commanding the rest of the soldiers to restrain the orc. It wasn't too hard to do, given the orc was wounded and weakened heavily. I stepped over to Gladys and laid a hand on her shoulderplate. "Nice work."

I nodded along, a bit disappointed at the decision Gladys made to keep you at the camp. "Got a prisoner. Figure we should take 'em back. He's too weak to resist or fight, and if he tries we'll keep him in line." I pointed my axe at the orc the group of soldiers were lugging back towards the camp. "I'm thinkin' we should replace our wounded and split to cover more ground. You lead a group of soldiers, I'll do the same."

"After we head back to camp, that is."

I followed suit, mounting up on my horse I left out by the trees and speeding off towards the camp after Gladys. I kept a close eye on both her and the orc prisoner, slowing my pace just a touch so I could keep them both in view. I was torn between following through with Gladys and having you along for the ride, as neither seemed to be an option without consequence.

I immediately felt my anger boil over, quickly leaping from my horse and shoving past the soldiers that had just arrived into camp. I ran right to what used to be Glady's tent and looked inside.

I let out a roar, tearing out from the tent and frantically darting my view around the camp. I turned my attention to the orc prisoner and ripped them away from the soldiers. I slammed the weak orc into the ground and pressed the bottom of my boot against his head with intense pressure. "WAS YOU PLANNIN' THIS, YA FUCK?"

"WHERE'D YOU TAKE HER?"

I swung my head back to look at Gladys, my eyes completely blazing with rage. I stared at her for a moment before raising my foot and stomping down on the orc's head. A sickening crunch sounded out as the stomp slammed into his head and deformed it from the sheer force alone.

"Look. for. tracks."

I immediately began to do my own looking, completely tearing through everything to scour for any potential signs of where the orc's that did this ran off to.

"Do what you want." I stomped back to my horse and dug my heels into its side, spurring it off into the direction of the main camp as fast as I could. I weaved through the trees and jumped the horse over large rocks, consumed by a burning rage.

I rolled with the tumbling momentum and righted myself upwards, springing onto my feet and leaping forward. I cleaved my axe through the weapon of one orc before immediately slamming it down into his head. It split his head in two down to the neck. I kicked my foot into the body to dislodge my axe and immediately swung it wildly to the left which caught another champion in the arm. I tore the axe downwards, mangling his arm horrendously. I let out another roar and faced the other orcs, daring them to approach me with my crazed eyes. "THIS WHATCHU WANTED, HUH?"

I wasted no time, spinning around to grab at the halves of his head dangling from his neck and ripping them further apart. I launched a strong heel kick into the chest of the reanimated champion and launched him away. I gripped my axe again and ignored any wounds I had taken on to launch myself at the remaining champs. I cleaved my way through what I could and confirmed the kills, dismembering and maiming them so bad they could hardly stand themselves up should they be brought back to the land of the living. After that was done, I ran to support Gladys in the fight against the werewolves. I hacked, chopped, and swung my axe at any target within range with the goal in mind of inflicting as much damage as possible. No precise vital strikes, no specific target in mind. As long as my blade cut their flesh, it satisfied me.

I immediately snarled and begin to shout just as loud, if not louder at her. "THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN FOLLOW ME OUT HERE FOR? YOU THINK I NEED MOLLYCODDLIN'?" I continued to bellow, my voice booming off the trees and sending birds from their nests. "WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF YOURS WHAT I WANT? I'M GETTIN' 'ER BACK. AN' IF YER MEN'S LIVES ARE MORE VALUABLE THEN HERS, THEN YOU CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF." I let out a furious laugh at the mention of loved ones. "LOVED ONES? WHAT THE FUCK D'YOU KNOW ABOUT ME WHEN IT COMES TO THAT?"

"I."

"HAVE."

"NO-ONE!"

I heaved, panting out hot breaths as I took a moment.

"NO-ONE BUT HER!"

I clenched my fists as blood continued to trickle from the various wounds I had sustained.

"So you can shove it."

I gripped my axe and continued to stomp through the forest, dead set on getting you back or dying in the attempt.

I raised my axe and let out an earth-shaking battle cry, before launching forward and swing my axe upwards into one of the orcs. I kept the axehead lodged into him and swung the axe before stopping it mid-swing, dislodging his body and sending it slamming into a few other orcs. I slammed my axe down into the ones that had fallen, finishing them off before setting forward in a brutal shoulder charge that audibly snapped the ribs of the orc I hit.

I barked out orders in between strikes to some men positioned oddly in the charge, redirecting them to more crucial spots and in turn increasing their combat effectiveness. I continued to slaughter those who stood in the way, collecting heads and racking up the monstrous killcount we had no doubt already accrued through the onslaught. I swung my axe down through the shoulder of one orc and went with the momentum to swing the blade right up into the chest of another. I drove the axehead in further, gashing open the orc's heart before yanking my axe out and continuing to brutalize any orc I could.

I slung my axe onto my back and sprinted towards the prisoner cages, practically diving in for Luna and grabbing her up into my arms. I slumped to my knees and pulled us together as tight as I could while looking over her body for any wounds that needed immediate tending to. "Hey- hey, I'm here. I'm here, I'm here now. Luna, please. Luna- Luna, Luna..."

I stood myself up and spun around to face the remaining soldiers and Gladys. "Treat her and get her to the church in town. NOW!" I carried Luna over to Gladys. "I need you to take her and your men back to town. Get her to the church. I'll catch up, I ain't gonna be here long. Please."

"Get her to the priest."

"I need you to do this."

I watched as they rode off, before spinning to face the main building. I stepped out among the bodies until I was directly out in the empty area in front of the building.

"WRUKAG SHAOTH!"

"GET THE FUCK OUT 'ERE RIGHT GODDAMN NOW!"

I stuck my arms wide out with my axe in my right hand. "Well, I'll be damned."

"YOU REMEMBA ME?"

"I swore to ya I'd slaughter you and yer people when you threw me to the wolves."

"And I almost reconsidered."

I shrugged. "Almost."

I snarled, clenching my fists up and staring daggers at the orc. "The fuck's this, eh?"

I bared my sharp teeth as my fists began to shake. I growled before reaching over my shoulder and hefting my axe up into the air.

I roared, before swinging it directly down.

The shaft of Wrukag's axe split in two.

I slid my axehead out of the dirt, and lowered my arms. I let my axe hang from my hand by my side.

"Take yer axe and keep it as a reminder. For yourself and anyone else who ya used to rule."

"I'll gut ya if I see ya again."

I cocked a brow and spun around, looking for where the voice had come from.

I shook it off and slung my axe back over my shoulder onto my back. I stood there in the emptied village, lingering among the somewhat-fresh corpses.

I swore under my breath and immediately began sprinting off away from the village, running at a fast and steady pace for the entire trip without a single wavering step.

I grunted, swinging my arm off from his shoulder and continuing to stand tall as my wounds either now only trickled blood or were just fresh and red. The stains of the blood that had spilled from my wounds covered my body, leaving crimson streaks from the gashes themselves and downwards. "Luna." I demanded, quietly panting from the travel back to the city. "Luna."

"LUNA." I demanded again, clenching my fists up but not making any movements. I simply stood there and waited until he allowed me to head to where you were.

I simply remained standing at the door, not moving or making a single sound until she had finished up. Relief washed over me as I saw you in fine condition, causing my stone expression to soften just a bit.

I gently wrapped my own arms around you, continuing to stand rooted in place. "It's done."

"I spared him."

I fell to my knees a bit too easily, the exhaustion and build-up of wounds finally taking their toll. I slumped forward into her arms, managing to keep most of my weight off of her but only barely remaining upright.

I could only mumble at this point, a mix of apologies and concerns about the wounds of mine that hadn't yet been healed were barely audible. "Hurts.." I kept my arms around you, half for the embrace and half to keep myself from slumping down to the floor fully.

I did as you asked, wearily propping myself up onto my feet and standing myself up straight again. I grunted in pain as I did so, but continued to bear through it. I followed closely behind you as you led me along, my breaths growing a bit shaky with every step.

I slowly nodded, leaning my arms forward onto my knees and letting out an exhausted sigh. I slumped forward, temporarily blacking out from the immense wear-and-tear I had sustained.

I gave into the tranquility that filled my head and leaned into you, promptly falling asleep against you as my wounds rapidly healed. My breaths steadied as time progressed and the tension that I plagued my body eventually faded out as I slept.

I rustle around a bit as I try to sit up as slowly as I can, taking a sleepy glance around the room to try and remember where I am. The dark room made it a bit hard to see anything, and I couldn't seem to make out anything familiar. I normally would've panicked, but having you in the same bed kept me calm for the most part.

I let out a small groan and laid back down onto the pillow. "Like shit." I turned towards you and relaxed as you dragged your hand along my cheek. "But you're already helpin' with that."

"Where are we?"

"Do I gotta pay 'em again?" I grumbled, nuzzling my head into your thighs a bit more. "Prissy bastard pulled a tone with me last time, when you had gone in to get yer side fixed up."

"Ah. My fault.." I sighed as I kept my head laid over your thighs, squishing my face up against them as you toyed with my beard. "I dunno what to do, now."

"S'pose I head back home, after tonight?"

"Babies?" I chuckled, moving my hand up to yours and interlacing my fingers with yours. "Seems to me like yer suggestin' somethin'.."

I sighed again, my smile fading off a bit. "Don't think I'm fit to father anyone, though."

"I dunno how to be one, s'all." I remained silent for a moment, mulling over a few thoughts before picking back up again. "Never had one of my own, an' even then I doubt anyone from the tribe would be a prime example of any kinda parent."

I shook my head as best I could with my head squished against your thighs. "No, it wasn't." I placed a hand on your thigh next to my head and gave it a little squeeze. "Yer the best person I know. You care about the lives of those orcs, despite how bad they inherently are..."

"I can't imagine you'd be awful to yer own kid, given the amount of compassion you display for people who ain't done nothin' but hurt us both."

I chuckled a bit. "Besides, I'd certainly enjoy the process of makin' a kid with ya."
