It’s Doggo!

Nearly a year passed since rockstar Aleda last saw a certain doggo of his. Back then, this doggo of his was going through a tumultuous time and there was much uncertainty in the air. The rockstar, among others, did all that he could for doggo, but this merely resulted in branching pathways that left more questions than answers. After all this time, it seems their paths will cross again...

It was early evening in the city. Rockstar Aleda spent the time in one of the many random bars. At this time, he was solo--planning to the spend some time on himself lost in his many thoughts. The next song. The next concert. Faces he had seen recently. Faces he had not seen recently. And so on. Perhaps, the bar of his choice wasn't quite so random as one would think. As this particular bar was well away from the eyes of the paparazzi... or at least, most of them. In any case, the rockstar kept to himself in a corner table. The only obvious company of his, at the moment, being his notebook, his cell phone, and a couple of drinks--a few empty glasses...*

The bar grew busier as time passed on, the air soon filled with noisy chatter and glasses clinking together. A few handfuls of people passed by the rockerboy's table, either being overly-busy waiters rushing to their next tables or folk who'd already had too much to drink stumbling onwards to the bathroom. It'd have been easy to tune out to all the noise if somebody hadn't stopped beside Aleda's table, shaking him out of his train of thought by setting a top-shelf bottle of liquor down onto the center of his table.

"Sorry to bother, this came from the bar--courtesy of ME."

Felix slid right on in to the seat across from Aleda, popping the top off of the bottle and pouring him up a glass of the stuff before he'd even had a chance to say anything. "I forget what you like, so I got us what I like instead," Felix spoke, proceeding to pour himself a glass as well. "Don't worry, I've got good taste in these things."

Time was passing, but the rockstar kept himself occupied the whole time. Writing in his notebook... lyrics for the next song or drawing up some conceptual art for the next album cover--totally not just stick figures with boobs... at least, some of the time! The last time he looked up and around, there was a drunkard stumbling toward the bathroom. A bit of a common sight, yes, but the drunkard bounced off several tables and people along the way almost like a pinball. Finding this quite humorous, the rockstar took note of it in his notebook--being fixated upon the task at hand until the noise a bottle hitting the surface of the table caught his attention Whoa! Dude! I know I've been putting in some orders and shit, but I didn't order anything for a while I say all this without even bothering to look up, but the voice that follows? That catches my attention real fucking fast, but surprises me so much so, that I can only blink at my notebook several times as I register the voice in my head FELIX? I say aloud in a mixture of surprise and excitement upon hearing the familiar voice after so long. My eyes soon dart up, and I confirm with my very own eyes that it is indeed Felix sitting across from me FELIX! YOU SON OF A BITCH! HOW YA BEEN? YA BASTARD! As I'm saying all this banter, I slightly get up from my seat and give him a good shake on his shoulder with one of my hands

Felix had a laugh over Aleda's enthusiastic outburst, laughing even more as the people seated at nearby tables shot the pair odd looks. "Oh, y'know. Stayin' outta the way, the usual." Felix returned Aleda's shoulder-shaking with a pat on his own shoulder, handing him the glass he'd poured out for the rockerboy. "Seems you're doin' alright for yourself, yeah? Sittin' alone in the corner of a bar... high-life shit." A tiny smirk tugged up at the corners of Felix's mouth as he motioned for the over-excited rockstar to get back in his seat. "Don't go causin' a big scene, now. The ladies in your audience won't much like hearing about their favorite rockstar and his 𝘣𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥, I bet."

The rockstar was just so happy to see Felix again after so long that he paid no mind to any of the nearby onlookers. Nonetheless, he happily accepted the glass that Felix had poured, and then he eased back into his seat before letting out a stifled laugh at Felix's comment Ha! Ya fuckin' bastard Felix! Glad to see that your mouth is as sharp as ever~ The excited look on my face briefly turns serious... Asshole! There's a brief pause before I let out a chuckle Heh... dude, so what the fuck happened? I take a sip of the drink after asking my question Whoa! Good shit, by the way! Anyway... it's been a while, but all I remember was a lot of shit going down, and you even pointed a gun at me at one point. Fuckin' wild ass shit, my man! Can you get me up to speed?

"Right..." That sharp mouth Felix had on him just a second ago dulled out rather quick, falling silent as he went to down his glass of liquor. "Ahh... S'not much to get you up to speed on. I went away," Felix began, moving to pour himself a refill. "I came back, I'm all better now; at least, I think so. I feel like it." Felix went silent again, seemingly somewhat-deep in thought over what to say next. "Celestia went home. Had to fight that space war, remember? It's just me, now--no more crazy shit." He cleared his throat, downing his second glass before pointing to the rockstar. "What'cha been up to while I've been away? Same-old-same-old?"

The rockstar takes casual sips of the drink while listening to Felix's side of the story. Nods of acknowledgement are given and the occasional thoughtful grunt is heard as well Oh, Celestia! Yeah, I do remember her being part of that whole mix from before... My glass was almost empty at this point, so I took the time to refill it before continuing... Well, shit. I wish I could say same old same old, but way too much shit has happened. The city has expanded and there are many new folks that have appeared since you disappeared. On a more personal level? Me and Kara confessed our love for each other as have Miki and I. I'm sure you remember Kara. Not sure if you ever me met Miki yet. Most of the people you knew back then have had lots of crap happen since then too. You should... probably get in touch with them again at some point. Whether you wanna plan that, or wander around and randomly bump into them--much like you did to me just now... is up to you, dude

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Felix was brushing the idea off--he seemed preoccupied with other ideas on what to head after next. "Somethin' like that, probably. I'm not really very worried about it; city's small, y'know. Hell, I'll probably stumble into one of 'em on the way outta here." Felix let out a strained chuckle, distracting himself by swirling his drink around in his glass before looking back up at Aleda. "Have you... seen that clone of mine runnin' around at all? He's kinda the first thing I've been wanting to deal with since blew back into town."

I nod my head hoping that he'll take the idea of getting in touch with some of the other familiar faces once again will be something that will be on his agenda at some point Well, ya never know who'll show up~ I mean... "Well, at first it was just to put him out of commission," Felix started, this time skipping the process of pouring out a drink and instead going straight for the bottle. "Now, I figure I can serve him up on a silver platter to anybody that might still have an issue with me. They take the clone and think it's me they've got, thus clearing me to live on while that vat-grown piece of shit ceases to be an issue anymore." Felix shrugged, taking a swig from the bottle. "S'pose he ended up having some use after all, yeah?"

Seeing Felix go straight for the bottle is quite amusing and yet may be a hint of some serious business in mind Well, I definitely haven't seen your replica recently I grab one of my few remaining drinks from earlier before Felix's arrival and start downing it But shit, that's quite a side quest you lined up for yourself. If you have trouble finding the dude, then I'm sure you can look or ask around for help. Remember, I know some people~ A thumbs up is flashed from me as I gulp down one of the few remaining drinks left

"What, you got a guy for clone-related issues? Don't tell me you've been tryin' to clone yourself just to get out of a few meet-and-greets, rockerboy." Felix let out a snicker, going for another swig from his bottle of booze. "I'll see where I'm at with wrangling him tomorrow, and if I'm 'behind schedule' then I'll give you a call. You can hook me up with this clone specialist you've got backing you, apparently."

That comment of yours about cloning myself to get out of meet and greets makes me almost spit out my drink, which also happens to be the last drink of mine left Guh--oh fuck! Haha! I lift up one finger signaling for a brief pause before continuing Well, I wouldn't call any of them a "clone specialist" necessarily, but just certain individuals that could help you find yourself... in the literal sense~ I shrug at my pun before taking one last gulp of whatever is left of my drink and setting it down next to the other empty glasses Mmm... I gotta get back to my music studio soon. Got one of them lame ass conference calls with the record label scheduled With a grin, I get up from my seat and extend my fist toward Felix for a fist bump Do stay in touch, Felix, my dude! "Ha, good one." Felix cocked his head back as he raised his bottle to his lips, sucking down the little bit of liquor that was still left in the bottle before setting it down on the table. "Really? What do you guys even discuss in those? They just tell you to make more music while you kiss their asses to keep from getting shafted?" Felix jutted his arm out almost immediately after seeing Aleda offer a fist bump, hitting his knuckles up against the rockstar's before mimicking a little explosion with his hand. "Yeah, well... I'll certainly try not to. I'll do it like the aussies do an' get myself a ground harness."

Ugh... it's pain in the ass red tape bureaucracy shit. I have to go through them just to do simple collabs with other music artists. Huge bonus if the person I collab with is also signed to a record label. Double bullshit! I say all this in reply to your question before gladly taking your fist bump. That little show of yours mimicking an explosion with your hand makes me let out a stifled laugh as it also reminds me of a few moments in our past... You've always been about them explosions, dude! There was the forest base, and then uh... that one time I zapped you with lightning, and it wasn't the low voltage kind that I use for "fun" with others--it was the "this will FUCK you up kind of lightning" that you took head on that one time. Heh... I nod to the side and sigh nostalgically at the past references before readjusting my leather jacket and strapping my Bloody Mary guitar to my back Right then, I'm gonna head on out, Felix. Be seeing ya around, buddy~ As I pass him, I give him a playful punch on the arm

"Sure thing, rockerboy. Have fun with the suits." Felix kept an eye on Aleda as he strolled on out of the bar, making sure he got out okay before turning back to the table. Seemed like he was the one sitting alone in the corner now. "Aw, dude- they're gonna stick me with the tab if they see he's left. Asshole..." He couldn't help but chuckle as he fished out two twenty-dollar bills from his pocket, tossing them out onto the tabletop and standing up to leave before the waitstaff hassled him. Felix then set straight off into a speedwalk, seeing himself out through the front door and wandering off to do whatever it was he had next on his day's to-do list.
