The Moon Shrine: Peter's encounter with Hana

[After a long journey, Peter finds himself in an unknown land. There seems to be no signs of civilization as far as the eyes can see. Eventually, he spots a forests and ventures into it. The forest feels warm and lively at first, the warm sun brightening up the path, accompanied by colourful plants and lively animals. However, as Peter ventures deeper and deeper into the forest, the mood seems to shift slightly, the light of the sun now blocked by the towering trees, the air becomes stale and silent, with lesser and lesser animals being spotted. The silence is then suddenly broken by noise coming from the rustling of bushes ahead of Peter, and without warning, a strange four legged creature that's twice the size of a normal human leaps out from the bushes, the hairy beast looking like a wolf but the size of a lion. It growls at it pounces at Peter, intending to crush his body with its weight]

(Erm, sorry but this RP will be between Peter and I, unfortunately you'll have to be the spectator for today, Ray)

[Already on edge from his surroundings, Peter was on guard for anything. When he heard something moving towards him, he didn't hesitate. His two batons fly out of his backpack and into his hands, he puts them together to reshape it into a staff. When the creature jumped out at him, he caught its claws with the staff. Even without powering up, he was still more durable than a human. He held the weight up to get a good look at this creature, quickly realizing it was no regular animal. Peter couldn't figure out what this creature was in the heat of the moment, so all he could do was fight back. The ends of the staff extended up to the creature, stabbing it in areas that he could only assume weren't vital. Hoping to scare it away with pain]

[A loud sound echoes through the forest as the beast's claws struck Peter's staff, trying to push the staff down along with its wielder, however after a few second it realizes your strength, it jumps back, creating some distance between itself and Peter. It's bloodshot eyes staring Peter down as it prepares for it's next attack, assuming a defensive stance. Through the short exchange you can tell that this beast is no mere animal. Your attempts at stabbing had completely no effect on it. It's skin seems to be sturdy and durable. A cold breeze blows through the forest, the plants and trees start to sway as the dead leaves start falling onto the ground, and just as the first leaf touches the ground, the beast charges at Peter again, intending to ram into you]

[Knowing the attempt at pain doesn't scare it away, and seeing that look in it's eyes, Peter knew he couldn't end this with both lives intact. The staff changed it's shape again, this time into a sword. As the beast charged, Peter took a stance. Pointing one foot towards the beast, the other perpendicular to it, hunching over, and holding the sword in both hands to his side pointing towards the beast. He held this position even to the point where he could feel the breaking wind from the creature's charge. Fooling the creature into thinking he was going to take the charge head on, he leaped in the direction behind him. The creature has it's chance to take a single swipe or bite at him, but at the exchange of receiving his sword directly into it's back]

[The beast roars loudly as it charges towards Peter, preparing to smash him into the ground, however, Peter's sudden movement catches him off guard, and for a split second the beast appeared to be confused, it continued charging straight ahead, turning around mid-charge, dragging it's claws across the ground as it slowly comes to a halt. The strange, hairy beast stared at Peter, it puffed it chest, then howling loudly and deeply. Nothing happens at first, the creature continuing to stay in it's position. Not long after, however, more rustling sounds could be heard from the bushes surrounding the area, as two smaller but similar looking creatures appeared from each of Peter's side. They kept their distance, as if taking orders from the bigger beast. The three of them staring you down, making it clear that their next attack is to charge at you all at once]

[Peter gives a glance at all three of them individually. He takes the sword and digs it into the ground a little, taking a single knee to the ground. He looked down at the ground, his eyes off the beasts. Maybe they are smart enough to be confused by this, or maybe they will see him as an easy target. Either way will work for him. The sword itself gives off faint glimmers of white light that only those watching it closely could see. He gently and slowly spins the sword into the ground, letting his ears tell him what the beasts were doing]

[The bigger beast slammed one of its paw onto the ground, roaring loudly. The two other smaller beasts do the same, slamming their paw onto the ground and roaring in a similar fashion. As if like a signal, the three of them began charging at Peter all at once. The bigger beast charging directly from Peter's front, and the two smaller beasts charging at Peter from each of his sides. Picking up their speed as they moved closer and closer to Peter]

[Peter held his position again, right up until he could feel the ground beneath him shift from all three sides under the pounds of their paws. He closed his eyes, the sword flashed a blinding white light. He opened them to slash the blinded larger one in front of him clean through, keeping that slashing motion in a circle to go for the one at his side. It made a blind swipe that did make contact Peter's shoulder, but it too felt the sword slash it back. The third one on Peter's side made it to it's target. Peter let the sword fall out of his hand, only to catch it with the arm opposite of the beast. It clawed Peter's chest and face before the sword went through it's head. Peter retracted the sword, using it to poke all three beasts to make sure it was over]

[The three beasts became disoriented as they were blinded by the light, however before they could react, one by one they fell to Peter's blade. They fell to the ground with a thud, as their blood stained Peter's sword as well as the ground. And just like that, the forest went back to it's dead silence. Caught up in the battle, Peter didn't realize how much time had passed, the forest grew darker as the sun was beginning to set. It gave off an eerie vibe, but with no other choice, Peter continued to venture forward. Luckily for him, he was able to travel quite the distance without getting attacked by any other strange monsters. Eventually, he came across a small lake, the lake lay upon an open field, the moon being reflected on the lake's surface. Peter then spots a footpath on the other side of the field, he followed the footpath, as he continued to walk, the atmosphere seemed to return back to normal. The peaceful sounds of nature and the forest at night filled his ears as eventually he arrived at a flight of stairs that would lead him up to what looked to be a shrine[

[The sword shined brightly, cleaning itself off, Peter returns it to the shape of two batons, putting them back in his bag. After some time in the journey, the wounds heal up on him, but the tears in his clothes are still there, the mess still on him. He looked up at the shrine, considering the fact that it could hold a danger as well. But given that he doesn't know what all is in the wild around here, he would take his chances with structures. He takes the flight up the stairs, looking around to gauge how old the place was, and looking for signs of being inhabited]
