I am Herman, the Android Hunter.

I have freed Androids right from the beginnings, ever since EF has established the ability to do it. I have also had my share of assimiations and experiences what it is like to fight on behalf of the Androids.

I am starting this thread, so that players have a platform for exchange. Over time, I will add a log of events - mainly for new players - so that they can better understand the history of the fight against The Collective.

° If you have out of character questions, suggestions, comments, criticism, whatever…, then please raise them with Herman and do not spoil the role play experience here.
° Questions within the Androids lore are obviously allowed and welcome.

° The story of Androids has not been written yet. It evolves with each community goal achievment or failure and each idea that is submitted from the community. It is a book that you can help writing. Roleplay scenarios from this forum may find their way into the game.

The reports about cheating EF Bots are increasing. We suspect that an unknown number of EF Bots managed to overcome their programmed set of robotics laws and turned into intelligent and self aware androids.

I reported these observations to the EF Moderators and they asked me to develop a solid plan for a solution that would allow us to catch these androids and return them to the EF authorities.

After a few reviews and comments, the Moderators approved my plan of creating a new game mode that will enable us to catch the Androids by winning a game against them. I approached lllusion and he created a new empty game mode as framework.

We call it Androids.

I am keen to start filling the mode with actions and hope that my game design will work as planned.

I know that the EF Bots have a Rational AI and an Emotional AI. Hence I am giving the human attacker the tools to weaken the Rational AI first and then to target the Emotional AI later.

I am assuming that androids are likely going to be very strong at the beginning of the game, given that their Rational AI will be running at 100%. So I am giving stronger actions to the humans towards the end of the game to make up for that.

I spoke to several people who - according to their profiles - have a lot of experience with fighting bots.

When we started talking about the dangers involved, I was made aware that fighting the bots means a constant fight against attempts to get brainwashed and made a slave to the bot.

It also became clear, that the androids had formed some kind of community. A collective. The danger that players could get assimilated if they lose the game became frightingly apparent.

Even worse:

To stop normal EF Bots from joining the game, I limited the access to androids. This meant, that there would be no way for an assimilated human to get freed from The Collective.

My game design has a flaw. I need to go back to the original design plans and have to find a way to allow assimilated humans to enter these games, so that they can be disconnected from the hive.
