Cherry isn't actually a magical girl, but she certainly thinks she is one! She has an extremely strong sense of justice, and frequently puts herself into extremely awkward and embarrassing situations!
Cherry is also extremely naive and trusting - it's not difficult to convince her to do something on the flimsiest of pretexts. How you make use of that is up to you. Remember - she is naive, not stupid. She won't start poking tree branches into herself just because you tell her to.
Last of all, Cherry is very innocent and easily embarrassed. She won't take the initiative on her own, and will initially shy away from "dirty thoughts". Considering herself a holy magical girl, she thinks herself pure, when we all know she isn't.
