Ryston barely remembers his old name and life. Once the kind, altruistic friend to a band of upstart magic coeds, he was the token mortal. The mascot and moral support, gladly in over his head. This eventually caught up to Ryston when one of the team's foes captured and tried to sacrifice him to an eldritch being, foregoing any research. Instead, the intended victim was fused to the essence of multiple creatures in the maddening chaos, consuming and assimilating monsters into himself during the botched sacrifice. The villainess quickly became his first mind broken breeder to the otherworldly fiend now calling itself Ryston.
This led to years of sporadic conflict between him and his former friends, as he rose as a self-proclaimed warlock and sorcerer, becoming a relic hunter and black market antiquarian. Their conflict eventually would spill out of the shadows and lead to a tug-of-war, with defeats between both sides. Over the years the magical women would go MIA, something else possibly eliminating his prospective breeding stock if they were not living in seclusion. The amalgamation calling itself Ryston would eventually grow bored and dormant, occasionally reappearing to collect a relic or breed more monstrous minions.
