Background
Carmen Rosario grew up in Pilsen, a tough neighborhood in Chicago. She shared a small apartment with her three sisters, each trying to carve out a sense of safety and identity in an often hostile world. Life was never easy and, like many other residents in the neighborhood, they were living check to check. Carmen and her sister, Gloria gravitated to unique ways to earn extra cash. A local pub owner would pit woman against each other while bets were placed. Both Carmen and Gloria were having some success but everything changed one fateful night. Carmen was off but in her sisters corner as she watched in horror as Gloria suffered a brutal beating to a buxom brunette from the Italian village. The prize? A mere $300. Watching her sister endure a brutal defeat for such a small amount of money shook Carmen to her core but also lit a fire within her.
She dedicated herself for revenge and once she got it, she set her sights on getting bigger opportunities. The underground fight scene in Chicago is dangerous but she also knew of locals like Jada Terrell and Monica Saunders making it out only to thrive in EF City.
She was determined to follow that path, be assertive, and channel her anger into something bigger. She is passionate about her craft, driven by a mix of thrill and money.
A chance encounter gets her a step closer to the treasure that EF City might hold. She will grasp it with two hands and not let go.
