Star Empire of Teutonia (Level 1) mail warning

Hetero / Switch

The Teutonians are known throughout the cosmos for their master craftsmanship, rigorous engineering standards, and unyielding martial prowess. Their capital planet, Nova Prag, serves as a testament to these values - an intricate metropolis of gleaming spires and fortifications, its streets paved with polished obsidian. Teutonian society is structured along feudal lines, with powerful noble houses vying for influence at court. These aristocratic clans maintain extensive estates on their home planets, where they oversee herds of genetically engineered livestock and vast farms and vineyards where they practice advanced high-yield agriculture.

Sophie von Welf, Imperial Chancellor
Loyalty: Operative Cam (Level 2)
Power Rating: Force 28
Assets: LostTech Infantry, Capital Fleet

"Preparing for the future is how you win tomorrow's battle. Being prepared is how you win today's."

Sophie von Welf is a cousin of the ruling Count of Welf, who is the Grand Admiral of Teutonia's Imperial Navy. Sophie's relationship to the admiral and her graduation with honors from officer school saw her fast-tracked to a high-ranking position in the Iron Legion, House Welf's elite ground forces. After being saved from an ambush by Erofights League operative Cam, she has begun to covertly exercise her political influence and military power on behalf of the League. With the aid of Erofights League operatives, she has equipped the Legion with powerful First Empire weapons and armor, as well as constructing a powerful new space fleet for the Legion's use. These preparations proved instrumental in the Legion's victory over the traitorous Duke Hohenstaufen and the King of Kartli, a victory whose aftermath saw Sophie named Grand Marshal of the Imperial Army. When the Imperial Chancellor began appointing his own loyalists to key roles across the government in an attempt to engineer a war of expansion against the New Horizon Union, destabilizing the balance of power between the imperial court and the noble houses in the process, Sophie dispatched the imperial army and her own naval fleet to Nova Prag as a show of force, allowing the emperor and his loyalists to force the Chancellor to back down. Sophie's swift and forceful show of support for the emperor has led to her becoming the emperor's new chief advisor.

Anja Weiss was the Vice-Chancellor for Domestic Affairs, subordinate to the Imperial Chancellor. When the chancellor was implicated in a potential coup against the emperor, the chancellor's office was extensively re-organized. The new chancellor, fellow League agent Sophie von Welf, arranged to have Anja installed as Grand Marshal to ensure the League's continued influence over Teutonia's military forces. While Anja lacks previous military experience, her connections in the imperial court and bureaucracy have allowed her to continue gathering powerful First Empire armaments to equip her most trusted forces.

Image Title
Schwanhild Kaufmann, Security Personnel, Imperial Mint
Loyalty: Operative Steve (Level 1)
Power Rating: Force 4
Assets: Elite Skirmishers

Schwanhild is one of the security officers at the Imperial Mint, where the physical currency underpinning Teutonia's monetary system is produced. She is passionate about order and precision, loving the mint's efficiency and working hard to maintain its security; it's well-known that she triple-checks the facility's security logs every night, generally while humming classical music. Since her recruitment by Operative Steve, she has commenced extra training protocols for the security guards under her command, building them into an efficient force skilled in urban warfare. And if a small amount of incoming bullion is improperly logged and happens to be diverted elsewhere, well, that's only to be expected in a facility as big as the Imperial Mint, isn't it? If that every happened, Schwanhild's security team would get right on it and identify the perpetrators without delay!

Known Imperial Council Members

Image Title

Rigobert von Luxembourg, Count of the Imperial Council

Rigobert is the recently-ascended Count of House Luxembourg, an noble house noted for its expertise in finance and trade. Since he became Count, House Luxembourg adopted an increasingly aggressive and risky approach to mergers and acquisitions, most notably snapping up several regional and system-level banks which fund exploration and colonization efforts. In recent weeks, Luxembourg house forces and affiliated mercenaries have begun launching attacks on border planets in the Shambhala Dominion, raiding settlements and temples alike.

Image Title
Nikolaus von Babenberg, Duke of House Babenberg, Lord High Treasurer of the Empire

Nikolaus is another recent ascendant to the Imperial Council, where he has quickly established himself as one of the leaders of the Council's Nationalist Faction, using his influence over the Empire's purse strings to advance the cause of his reactionary faction. One of his signature political achievements has been the establishment of a re-education facility in which violent criminals are psychologically altered and rehabilitated, with the most successful patients being awarded positions within the imperial bureaucracy. Given the success of this pilot program, House Babenberg is planning to open addition re-education centers throughout the Empire.
