Narlan: Alright, you still came in... Before you start, I will explain the purpose of this trip to you.
Before we begin, I'd like to ask you: have you ever heard this legend in the streets and alleys of China?
Long, long ago, there lived a monster called "Nian," with two horns and sharp teeth. It was extremely ferocious and would emerge from the deep mountains every New Year's Eve to harm people and livestock.
However, humans eventually found a way to defeat it. Nian was afraid of the color red, firelight, and loud noises, and was frightened away or destroyed by firecrackers. From then on, pasting red couplets, setting off firecrackers, and lighting red candles became New Year's Eve customs, which evolved into "Chinese New Year."
To most people today, this is just a story to scare children. However, in our Jingu City, this is the reality we face. There really is a Nian beast named Xi, who, along with her minions, has long harassed the peace of this city. Unlike in mythology, she isn't afraid of anything red... because she herself is red.=.=
Although she doesn't actually eat people as the legends suggest, her unruly nature makes her a major nuisance to the city's inhabitants. As a mythical creature, defeating her is virtually impossible; therefore, we need brave warriors to resist her and her minions. Don't let her capture you, or you'll see why she's the city's greatest scourge... >.<
In any case, wish you every success in your Brave road!
