That match stuck in her memory when, months later, her search for a new bar to work in took her all the way to L.A. and a certain club. With no other options, Tonia pulled on Liz Jones’ referee bikini and took over, playing the role of a tough, no-nonsense ref so well that no one could tell she wasn’t trained (especially since Alyss spoke in her earpiece and told her what to say and do). Thanks to her efforts, the match ended with applause all around (and a stern reminder to the club's under-managers that only sober people get to sexfight).

Feeling the excitement of the ring for herself and seeing the kind of payday she could get (Sensing an opportunity, Alyss made sure she got a hefty bonus, about as much as the loser’s purse was), Tonia soon sought out the VIP program.
