I looked up to the sky, letting out a clear whistle into the open air. Yuna, my owl, came swooping down from above. She softly set herself down on my shoulder, turning to look at me.

The owl cooed a bit, and I nodded in understanding. "Yes, Yuna. This place feels... peculiar."

"Fly ahead a bit and give me a clear view, please." I nuzzled the owl, before letting it launch from my shoulder and soar through the trees ahead.

I followed along, continuing to weave through the thick forest foliage until I reached an exit from the trees. There was a river in front of me, quietly rushing over the rocks embedded in the bottom of it.

I tilted my head, letting the peaceful noises of the forest soothe me for a moment before perking up as Yuna swooped back onto my shoulder.

It again cooed to me, and I looked along the riverside. There were evident ruins, broken down stone statues and rotted caravans.

I walked to one of the massive statues, running my hand over the mottled surface.

I slipped off one of my gloves, laying my now-bare hand onto the statue. I lingered a moment, a few white wisps of light trailing out from where my hand was pressed onto the mossy and overgrown stone.
