Marcela has her own unique system of how her power works. It doesn't matter if she win or lose, she'll hit gnosis either way.

Ascent Gnosis Path: After winning and defeating the Dungeon Mistress a new ritual or power would unlock to her.

Descent Gnosis Path: After losing and failing on defeating the Dungeon Mistress or her minions a known ritual or power would get stronger.

The powers she gains are tied to Marcos, sharing with him and both have no say on it.
