Femdom - for me the biggest appeal is the intimacy of giving up control along with the anticipation of the devious, creative unknown of what will happen next. Gonna add my opinions to the mix aswell:

Femdom: Basically giving up both the freedom of choice to someone else i find arousing. Especially if submitting to them gives them some kind of pleasure or satisfaction. That one overlaps with maledome for me, however its a tad bit better since im sexually atracted to feminine bodies. Those also tend to be slender and "weaker" than my own body. This is a big one.
