It is with enormous excitement that we can declare the TWR tournament 2025 officially... open! 16 boys and 16 girls were selected by lottery from all the applicable entrants (thank you to everyone who signed up: what an incredible response!) These players were then randomly put into mixed gender teams and entered into the bracket.

Based on feedback from previous tournaments, we have taken steps to reduce the difficulties in scheduling around wildly different time zones. Where they were available, time zones were noted from the selected profiles and very roughly cut in two. This should mean that, until the final, players will be mostly be playing opponents who are within a few time zones of their own.

Players who signed up and weren't selected, do not fear: they have been put on the reserves list in case of needing to substitute players. Reserves will be called up in the order in which they signed up for the tournament. Any reserve that wasn't called up will be given priority in future tournaments, meaning that they will have a greater chance to be selected in future.

The sign up thread in the forum shall remain open for pink profiles to join the reserve list (although they will not be granted future priority, since the deadline has passed). Also, if any player who signed up as a blue profile wishes to switch gender and submit a pink profile to the girls' reserve list, then they can (they will still earn priority, since they signed up before the deadline.)
