I could not move, I just stared blankly at the empty desert. Hours passed, I could feel myself slipping away...but then a figure approached me from the distance. I didn't remember much as I was fading in and out of consciousness. He took me back to his home in the mountains, he was covered up in rags from head to toe. He nursed me back to health and assisted me the whole time, never leaving my side. When I finally spoke to him, he gestured to me why I was out in the desert alone. I told him of course, pointing towards the direction of the city. He nodded and let me rest for the day and that he promised to return by handing me a locket. So I did, I fell asleep and woke around midnight. He was nowhere to be seen, but I had seen a glimpse of something as I awoke. I walked over to a lookout point from his cave. At that moment I found out what kind of person I was with...I could see the city ablaze as a giant cloud of smoke covered the sky. I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see the man, stained in blood, some still pouring and dripping down his rags. He walked to his bed and slept without a word spoken. I never forget that day. Since that point on he had granted me eternal youth so that I may stay young forever. It was upon this journey that he had recruited 3 others to join him.

Cut to a month ago. I entered the city of EF to meet new people and discover what the world had to offer. This was where I met my best friend Maria.
