A kingdomless prince. He is lurking in the shadows for someone to use into reclaiming what he believes is his for birth right. All those that becomes his tools won't have a greater treatment than a pet, unless they are able to stand by themselves against him

Dusk was born into the twilight, a realm hidden under the moonlight and used as a former prison for his ancestors. His kind was banished to that realm when they lose a war, becoming the twili, a race that live in the darkness and mutate to embrace that environment.

Many generations develop, strong mages were born thanks to the nature of said place. The strongest were thought to be the most in touch with the twilight, and so a system where they'll choose their rulers establish. When a promising boy was born, it was an unanimous decision among the mages. Inside the twilight itself turn into an eclipse fore a minute.

So, said boy was guide to become the next king since youth. Meanwhile, other person was sent as a temporary king. Another powerful mage who grow to like the position. He had accepted he'll be losing that power, if it weren't for a portal opening and throwing a demon into the realm.

After he managed to seal such being with the twilight, and take him as a source of power, the death of the prince seemed as a real option now.

Strange beasts were appearing inside the kingdom, I didn't knew what to do. But then, the mage I trusted enough to let him take care of the throne told me to run. That the only safe place for me was outside our kingdom.

He guide me to a portal that'll be taking me far from those lands, and once they had everything under control, they would be sending someone for me.

Once on the other side, I went out of a mirror and was met by a group of sages. The first thing they did after seen me was to attack me, they tried to either force me back into the portal or obliterate me. Tried to defend myself but would had been my end if one of those creatures didn't came out of the mirror too, and in a single strike turn it into pieces.

They changed their priorities with the beast, I was too shocked seen I was trapped in this new place, unable to return to the twilight. I hid into the shadows but didn't left. I stayed in their temple, specially in the library, searching for who they were and how to return.

It didn't seemed as a task so hard after seen how to rebuild it, but when I tried to leave, the sun burn me. Discovered the hard way that I can't be out of the shadows when the sun is out. Meaning my ways of travel are too limited. Therefore, my best bet would be to find someone to work with me. But how to convince the strangers of this realm?
