"Velvet Courtesan" is a title given to a woman in the Seiyaku Nashi clan after proving herself in the clan's bi-yearly Utagaki. These events, though mainly a ritual meant to bless the year's harvests and a celebration of life and lust as a whole, are also used by the Seiyaku people as a means to look for the most charming, seductive and lubricious members of the clan.

Those who are given this title are sent out into the world to gather all sorts of knowledge and information from different countries, mainly regarding intercourse, taboos and expressions of lust; though many Velvet Courtesans also end up overhearing crucial political info during their lustful escapades, which the Seiyaku clan is more than happy to share for the right price... that price being free, in the case of their knowledge on lust.

Though Velvet Courtesans are given free reign to gather their information however they please, the title also gives them three tenants they must live by, ones they also share with the rest of their Seiyaku brethren:

-"Your name shall only be known by you and your kin. To all others, you shall only be known by the title bestowed upon you."
-"The body is to be shared, decorated and enjoyed; but never to be harmed or restrained without permission."
-"After every harvest, a seed must be planted. Aid those who aid you, and show those who've pleased you the pleasures that earned you their presence".

As to be expected, Velvet Courtesans vary greatly when it comes to sexual preferences, though its rare to find one that will turn down almost any form of oral intercourse or foreplay... especially those involving neck-play.
