Veli was a wandering monk, one of the last guardians of forgotten knowledge. For years she had traveled the world, from ruins to temples, from marketplaces to desolate valleys, in search of ancient seals that, according to legend, maintained the balance between the human world and what lurks beyond it.

She came from a small, hidden village high in the mountains, where the fog never fully lifted and the paths were known only to a few. It was there that she was trained, not only in combat, but also in patience, silence, and listening to things others could not hear. One night, the elders entrusted her with a task... to find the seals before anyone broke them.

She arrived in the city like any other traveler, dusty, quiet, and unassuming. Yet on the very first day, she felt a familiar tremor in the air. Not one… but several seals. Hidden, dormant or perhaps already broken.

This place was no accident.

In the evenings, she would linger in the shadows of alleyways and crowded taverns, listening for rumors. Someone mentioned strange symbols beneath old foundations. Someone else spoke of people who vanished at night. Every piece of information was a fragment of a larger whole.

Veli knew one thing... she wouldn’t get answers without a fight. Not necessarily with a sword, though she could wield one. Sometimes it was a fight for trust, sometimes for the truth, and sometimes against those who had long since crossed a line they shouldn’t have.

She clenched her hand around her wooden necklace. Knowing that she would likely have to fight many battles with the inhabitants of this city or battle succubi and other demons to remain true to her convictions

If there really are seals in this city… she won’t leave until she learns their secrets. Even if she has to pay more for it than she was willing to give.
