When Aether was separated from his twin sister, he was sent to a strange and unfamiliar land. This land was constantly under attack from the dark forces of the Abyss. Not willing to stand by and let innocent people get hurt, Aether raised his blade and took a stand against the Abyss. As he traveled the land in search of his twin, he came into conflict with the Abyss numerous times. Eventually he decided to take the fight to them and confront their leader. Traversing through the darkest depths of the enemy's stronghold, he confronted the leader and after a long and difficult battle he defeated and killed them. But the Abyss had a corrupting influence on any that entered its domain, one that grew stronger the longer one spent in there. By the time Aether struck the final blow, he too had become corrupted and thus took over as the leader of the very group he once fought so hard against.
