Founded by it's King, Goldspire is a place for the vagrants and unwanted. For hundreds of years creatures of all races, genders,
and opinions flocked to this banner, a kingdom for the people. Built up of many, it holds the hope of the few and those who rely on it to protect their families.
King is an odd fellow. Carrying great strength, yet is aloof at most times. Carrying great wisdom, yet falls through his own thoughts. Carrying great capability and confidence, but knowing when to be silent and when to voice himself. He has lived for over a millennium, and has made friends, lovers, enemies, and more. Kingdoms have risen and fallen, some both at his own hand. He is a myth to most, until recent years. Diving out of the light, he has chosen to wield his strength for those weaker than him, choosing honor, kindness and strength as his banner once more. Forced to wear a crown by the very people he had taken care of, his name and title are now one of the same: that of King, Golden ruler and Magical Emperor.
Born and raised by her parents (Human mom and dragon father) she lived way from her father’s clan due to their disgust for hybrids that eventually sent people to kill them. She grew up viewing the clans with disdain for this and would use there hatred for hybrids against them. She would allow them to do unspeakable things to her as she would later after they where done steal many of their valuables. This ranged to kings and shopkeepers all the way to generals and adventures. Eventually collecting a rather massive horde filled with gems and magical items making any dragon blush by looking at it. She then stayed low and hid away so no one can track her down. Then she heard of Goldspire and their powerful King and decided to pay this city a visit. She expected to be treated poorly, she wasn’t. She expected to be looked at with disgust, she wasn’t. With out feeling any negative emotion from the king she could only feel one other, love and after an intimate interaction with him she did and when he offered marriage. To never be alone again all she could do was say yes.
The first member of many was his loyal maid, Emma. She showed interest in her current job, and through a bet ended up both heading the castle's maid divisions, but also helping keep the royal bed warmer at night. Now she helps him recruit other potential, and still serves both other roles. "She's wily, but submissive to a fault. Be wary fighting her, one of the many succubi under my banner~"
The second member was one initially chosen to be a maid in the castle. Maria is a cute catgirl that enjoys serving guests and the staff eagerly. During one of the open meal hall hours, though, she ended up teased, toyed with, and turned into a cumming, melted, empty mess, before being thrown into a pit of tentacles, only pushing her to breaking even further. After she was fished out, the King brought her to his bedchambers and claimed her properly, both as a member of his harem, and as a new pet. Recently, she has undergone a new transformation; a fallen angel, body corrupted by a darkened halo. Less part of the staff and more part of the family, this eager kitty is loved by most all in the castle.
Another member of the harem is of a more... spectral nature. The ghost Joy is one of... unusual mystery. Loving the endless cold and the beautiful night sky, she is a romantic at heart. Slowly feeling something attracting her towards King, and having a deep interest in magic herself, she decided to challenge him. Instead of the fight ending how it usually does - with submission or domination - it instead ended in love, with them both winning together, the cute ghost now officially part of the family.
The knights protect the peace of the land, helping and aiding the people however they can, and protecting them from hazards and dangers civilians cannot handle. They do not interfere with the Royal Guard, who has a different role. The current Captain of the Knights is a follower of the King's for a good amount of time, Keith. Despite seeing him in a lesser state of strength, he never doubted in his capability to lead and guide, and has earned his place atop the militaristic ladder that he was placed upon.
The royal staff are meant to keep the castle as clean as possible, and tend to the daily needs of all the guests in the castle, making sure their stay is comfortable and they leave satisfied with their level of care. This role takes on an arduous task, and is headed by hand-picked professionals, such as the Head Maid Emma, and also by the new Head Secretary, ♥ Reina ♥, who is the owner of the Head Maid herself. There are also other roles hidden beneath the surface, and many faces to be seen.
She herself is, as mentioned previously, part of the staff as well as the royal harem, and as such deserves a spot here as well. She shows tremendous skill in maidcraft, but also in working with the guests and entourages seen at the castle. How she does so, however, is left for those who visit to discover. As both a succubus and vampire, she is one with many abilities and mysteries, which gives her great allure to those that decide to find their way in my home.
And for those who wish to challenge her, be mindful. She's stronger than most, and requires twice the normal amount of 'damage' to defeat fully.
She came to the King in the midst of conversation and ruination of her own plaything, Emma. Discussing the terms of her work, and her placement among his staff, she now heads nearly all actions in the castle, and is as useful to him as the one she owns, although with terrifying skill to match. She has an abundance of power compared even to her elven brothers and sisters, The Elven Warrioress is unbeatable by her own kind. With a chest rivaled by few others, and an in-depth knowledge of bodily magic, she can and will change you to her own wishes. She also is magically inclined as well, able to nullify or reverse most forms of magic with little to no effort.
Be wary those who decide to challenge her or her authority, as she is stronger than Emma, requiring 3 full phases of 'combat' to defeat, with many tricks of her own to do battle.
Broken in by the Head Maid and forced to be freely used by anyone in the castle until her sentence has ended, Cryptic shares a nature with her previous opponent; that of a succubus. Naturally this comes with her own plethora of skills, ones which she will use to punish those who do the kingdom wrong, or wrong it's inhabitants. As a gift for her... 'promotion' to such a role from her potential job as a standard maid, the King decided to provide her with a gift from his own standard of abilities.
Should she use it on you, be afraid. Power and domination can be intoxicating.
Curious by nature, Elisande sought out the many places of power in the world. From her tower in the north she'd learned much, but eventually she grew frustrated with the unnaturally fast progress of the humans in learning new schools and techniques. As such, she's promised her services to one of the Kings of the world, because who wouldn't want an elven mage at their disposal?
The Church of Wisdom, or otherwise known as The Holy Order of Gabriela, is an organization that, in a somewhat obvious way, worship the Goddess of Wisdom, Gabriela. It has a long, convoluted history, written only in truth in the holy text known as the Chronicles. This text dates the Order's formation to thousands of years ago, during a warring period between several new budding nations who were eager to gain more territory and land.
As a result of those conflicts, the original birthplace of the religion, a small, tame village, was desecrated, burned, and destroyed, causing it's inhabitants to spread far across the land, forming various sects of the church, managing to last throughout the turmoil-ridden times. Due to the trials they endured, the faith of those following the will of the Goddess wasn't strong, and they all waited around for an ancient prophecy to fulfill itself. Not long after, many different factions were created, but two in particular were much larger than the rest: Those who wanted to create the holy land by force, dominating the land; and those who were firm believers in the Goddess's prophecy, and awaited her or her messenger to descend upon the land, to guide them according to her will.
With time passing quickly, many conflicts between all the factions broke out, leading to countless lost souls from all parties involved. Suddenly, when the fighting seemed to be coming to an end, the Messenger appeared, conveying the will of the goddess and uniting the factions and creating the Ten Principles, followed by her believers 'til this day. From that moment on, the Chronicles describe the reign of the High Priests, one after the other, including various important events of the land. Nowadays, the religion is well established throughout the land, and thanks to its root present all over the continent, most sentient races alive know of the Goddess of Wisdom.
Descriptions vary depending on locality, but generally, the Goddess is defined to appear to be in her early to mid twenties, with long, beautiful hair that reaches past her slim waist, a wide, casual yet teasing smirk on her face almost naturally. She is believed to be rather mischievous as she tends to withhold various bits of information, and enjoys tricking people in numerous ways, although she always repays the favour she receives.
As to her powers, they are enshrouded by rumors, her own contradictory information, and a veil of mystery that surrounds her. Despite that, she hardly uses them, as she dislikes interfering in the matters of the mortal realm whenever possible. However, her ability to scry the future, whether true or not, is one of her core strengths.
In the center of the City of Light, Capitol of the Kingdom of Goldspire stands the beautiful Cathedral of Light. Standing at a mighty 160 metres of height, being over 276 metres of length, and having 72 metres of width, the Cathedral of Light is one of the biggest displays of power the Holy Order possess. It's also rumored to contain vast dungeons that go several floors into the earth, but entry is forbidden to all outsiders.
The everyday people of the kingdom! They are the lifeblood of Goldspire, and keep it running with their daily lives. From smiths, to farmers, to shop-keeps and adventurers, any and all are welcome.
