I mean hey to be fair it's cool as long as you ignore the environmental damage including water and air pollution, theft of literary and artistic property to feed and train models, rampant energy and water waste, water and energy bills going up for the common person because of said waste, ease of access for scams, use in government surveillance and weaponry, the skyrocketing price of RAM which is being hoarded by AI companies, AI companies attempting to strongarm AI everywhere they can fit it including trying to market it as something that will make working on Film & TV obsolete, being shoved into every service and making them worse because whatever company the service belongs to is trying to profit off the bubble before it bursts, allowing people to graduate underqualified and generally making people dumber because everyone uses it to do their work for them, making finding jobs much harder because companies use it to look at potential new hires and most of the time they end up ghosting, being used to generate horrible stuff like CP or authentic-looking misinformation very easily, being used to promote hateful views such as misogyny and homophobia thanks to anti-woke grifters, providing wrong and sometimes outright harmful information, doing nothing to enforce people using them as substitutes for real social interactions because it means more engagement even though it has led to children taking their own lives, contributing to cost of living issues particularly over in the US where their economy is in shambles, giving a platform to talentless cucks who want all the merit of being a creative but with none of the work or passion to earn it, and so on. All this for what is basically predictive text with extra steps that can also frankenstein other people's work into an abhorrent mess. So my apologies if it seems like I have no patience for it, because I truly don't
